What happens to your inbox data?
Does localpdf.store upload or store my Gmail attachments?
No. After you authorize read-only access, attachment bytes travel directly from Gmail to your browser. PDF text extraction, OCR, and matching run in the active tab; localpdf.store has no attachment upload endpoint.
Why does this tool need Google authorization?
Gmail requires your explicit permission before a browser app can read messages or attachments. This tool requests Gmail read-only access and cannot send, edit, or delete email.
Can it read scanned or photographed PDF pages?
Yes. The tool first uses embedded searchable text. Pages with little or no text are rendered locally and passed through English OCR. OCR can be slower and may need human review.
Does it scan my entire inbox?
It searches messages containing PDF attachments, with optional Gmail and date filters. You can stop at any time, and completed results remain visible until you clear them, disconnect, refresh, or close the tab.
